As the second largest island in Channel Islands National Park, Santa Rosa offers spectacular hiking opportunities. The hike to Water Canyon campground is only about 1.5 miles from the landing. This is considered early season for this area. The chances of snow and or ice is still pretty high. The need for snowshoes and/crampons will be determined depending on conditions over the winter.
